THE EDITORIAL APPROACH

Curiosity.
With care.

Clear sources, useful context and a visible distinction between evidence, experience and uncertainty.

Start with evidence

Care content should link to relevant veterinary, welfare and scientific references. Differences between sources should be explained rather than hidden.

Keep health content in context

Health pages help readers recognize concerns and prepare useful information. They do not replace diagnosis or treatment by a reptile veterinarian.

Make database records traceable

Food records belong to a species. Morph records distinguish visual descriptions from documented genetics, and photographs should be identified accurately.

Be transparent about gear

Published comparisons should explain their methods, sources and commercial relationships. Any affiliate links or supplied products should be disclosed.

Keep corrections visible

Maintain a record of meaningful corrections and make it easy for readers to suggest better evidence.
