Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: October 6, 2026

As an Amazon Associate, Lizardist earns from qualifying purchases.

Some pages on Lizardist link to products on Amazon. If you click one of these links and buy something, Amazon may pay us a small commission. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link.

Which pages have affiliate links

Most affiliate links appear in our gear guides and in care guides where a piece of equipment is needed for the advice in that section, such as a thermostat, a UVB light or a thermometer. Pages that contain affiliate links show a short notice near the top of the article. Many of our guides contain no affiliate links at all.

How we choose products

Care advice comes first. We decide what a lizard needs from veterinary and scientific sources, and only then look for products that meet that need. No company pays to be included, and no brand reviews our articles before they are published.

We do not claim to have tested a product unless a page says so plainly. Where we describe a product, we describe it from its specifications and its documented use.

What we never do

We never sell animals, link to animal sellers or breeders, or accept payment for positive coverage. Prescription medicines are never linked.
